WELCOME to our Stable Friends Home page. Pull up a bale of hay, grab a cup of coffee and tell us a story or two. We are a group of Internet friends brought together by our common interests, that is equines (horses) and an assortment of other animal friends from ferrets to pigs! A bit of our past history: We found each other by joining in a chat/post page that is being hosted in Sisters, Oregon. But alas, as all good things must some day end, this site is no longer being cared for but is still up and running. Someday we fear it will be shut down so we started another site and this is our home page. This page is an entry page to our new posting area and also has links to members home pages and other areas of interest. We are such a diverse group and have a lot to share. Some of us raise and breed race horses, eventing/dressage, AQHA Quarter horses for cutting and for the show ring, and some of us just ride for pleasure. We come from all corners of the globe. Some are tucked away in the beautiful Canadian Mountains, some live beneath the beautiful Blue Mountains where Chief Joseph protected his tribe from the white folks way back when. Some of us enjoy deserts, some mountains, some beaches, and some enjoy mid West plains. A good majority of the group are tucked beneath the hills in Missouri. We span the US from sea to sea. We even have a member that travels and visits us all. Saddlebag has been known to kiss pigs, Denise has soaked a Rhino's foot, and recently Carolyn and Spirit, the mini, smashed into the side of a building as Spirit decided to spook and dashed away towing his cart and owner behind him! We are a real crazy group! We have raised money for charitable contributions. One of our biggest was donating to an animal relief center along the Gulf Coast after Katrina. One of our members loaded up her horse trailer with supplies and went down and donated some of our charity funds and also her time in helping the poor lost animals of Katrina. Eddie is our computer tech and he is hosting this new site. He also has an office Online and does web pages, plus web hosting amongst many other talented technical computer knowledge. If you are having computer issues, just ask Eddie. There's plenty more to learn about us and no one can write it all up in
